Book an AppointmentUnderstanding the VI Peel™
The VI Peel (Vitality Institute) is a medical-grade chemical peel designed to treat a broad range of skin concerns safely and effectively — from acne and acne scarring to fine lines, hyperpigmentation, melasma and enlarged pores. It is safe on all skin types and tones, and is the only peel approved for use on the under-eye area.
The treatment is largely painless, requires minimal downtime and can be applied to the face, neck, chest, arms, back and legs — making it one of the most versatile medical peels available.
A blend of TCA, Tretinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C and minerals — working together to safely remove damaged skin layers, promote cellular turnover and refine the surface for a smoother, clearer, firmer complexion.

Overall Skin Health
Ideal candidates for a VI Peel are looking to improve mild to moderate skin damage, heal acne or reverse early signs of ageing. The VI Peel is safe and effective on all skin types — from fair to deep tones — and treats concerns across the face, neck, chest and body.
We offer 5 custom blends targeting different concerns: ageing skin, active acne, acne scarring, melasma, sun damage, keratosis pilaris and more. A 15-minute consultation is required before we prescribe the most appropriate formula for your skin.
Patients with darker skin tones may have an elevated risk of hyperpigmentation from certain peels. Our practitioner will assess your skin fully at consultation and recommend the safest and most effective option for you specifically.
A VI Peel is relatively painless for most people. More sensitive skin types may experience a mild to moderate tingling or warmth during application — tolerable without topical anaesthetic, though a cooling device can be used for added comfort.
The skin is cleansed and the solution applied in two phases: the first penetrates the surface skin cells, the second goes deeper into the dermis to target toxins and dead skin cells. The solution dries quickly — you are free to resume daily activities but must wait 5 hours before washing it off.
Skin will appear slightly tan immediately after treatment due to retinoic acid — this fades within the hour. Peeling typically begins at day three and is light and easily managed with moisturiser. By day 6–7 peeling is complete and skin looks noticeably improved.

Common Questions
Immediately after the peel, skin may appear slightly tan or bronzed due to the retinoic acid — this fades within the hour. Over the following days skin will feel tighter and pigmented areas may appear slightly darker. Peeling typically begins at day three — it is light and easily managed with moisturiser. In some cases the peel is virtually invisible. By days 6–7 peeling is complete and skin looks noticeably refreshed and improved.
The VI Peel is largely painless for most patients. More sensitive skin types may experience a mild to moderate tingling or warmth during application — but this is typically very tolerable and does not require topical anaesthetic or pain medication. A cooling device can be used if needed for added comfort.
This depends on your skin concern and the formula prescribed. Most patients with an active skin condition benefit from treatments every 2–4 weeks. For general skin maintenance, a session every 3 months is typically recommended. Package pricing is available for those committing to a course of treatment.
Yes — a short consultation (approximately 15 minutes) is required before your first VI Peel. VI Peel has five custom blends, each targeting different skin concerns. Our practitioner will assess your skin and prescribe the right formula specifically for you before any treatment takes place.
The VI Peel is designed to be safe and effective across all skin tones. However, some formulas carry a higher risk of hyperpigmentation in patients with deeper skin tones, which is why a thorough consultation is essential. Our practitioner has specialist experience in skin of colour and will select the safest and most effective formula for your specific skin.
