Shujo Aesthetics is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) — the independent regulator of health and social care services in England. This page provides transparent regulatory information in line with our commitment to clinical governance and patient safety.
Our clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission as a provider of regulated activities. Registration with the CQC confirms that we meet the fundamental standards of quality and safety expected of healthcare providers in England.
You can verify our registration at any time by visiting the CQC website and searching for our Location ID: 1-12591949135.
The CQC inspects registered providers periodically and publishes ratings based on five key questions: whether the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Shujo Aesthetics has not yet been inspected by the CQC. No rating has been issued at this time. We do not display any CQC rating graphic on this website and will not do so until an official inspection rating has been received and published.
Once an inspection has taken place and a rating is issued, it will be displayed on this page and on the CQC website in full accordance with CQC display requirements.
Shujo Aesthetics operates under the clinical oversight of an Independent Nurse Prescriber. Where prescription-only medicines (POMs) are clinically appropriate, they are discussed privately with patients following a thorough and documented individual assessment.
In line with UK law and the advertising standards set by the MHRA and ASA, we do not advertise prescription-only medicines to the general public. Any reference to prescription or compounded options on this website is for information only and does not constitute an advertisement or offer of a POM.
Prescription-only medicine options are discussed privately following appropriate clinical assessment. Advertising POMs to the public is prohibited under UK law and is not something we do.
Our clinical practice is aligned with UK professional frameworks across all areas of patient care. The following standards are embedded into how we operate at every appointment.
Consent — Informed consent is obtained and documented prior to every procedure. Patients are given sufficient time and information to make a fully considered decision.
Documentation — Accurate and complete clinical records are maintained for all patient interactions, in line with professional and regulatory requirements.
Safeguarding — We follow current UK safeguarding frameworks for adults and children, and our clinical team is trained to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
Confidentiality — All patient information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, UK GDPR and the duty of confidentiality owed to patients under professional codes of conduct.
Infection Prevention & Control — We maintain rigorous IPC standards throughout our clinic, including use of sterile single-use equipment, clinical-grade disinfection protocols and appropriate PPE.
Escalation — Clear escalation pathways are in place for any adverse events or clinical concerns — including access to emergency protocols and appropriate medical referral where required.
Aftercare — Structured aftercare guidance is provided following every procedure, with clear instructions on what to expect, how to manage side effects and when to seek further advice.
If you have a question about our regulatory status, clinical governance or any aspect of your care, please contact us directly. We are committed to transparency and will respond to all enquiries promptly.
