Ageing skin is influenced by collagen loss, sun exposure, inflammation, barrier changes and pigmentation. We build a structured topical treatment plan — tailored to your skin, your concerns and your lifestyle — guided by clinical expertise, not guesswork.
The Clinical Picture
Skin ageing is rarely the result of a single factor. It is a multifactorial process — driven by intrinsic biology, lifestyle and environmental exposure. Effective anti-ageing skincare must address the specific combination of factors relevant to your skin, not apply a generic one-size approach.
Our online clinic builds a structured topical plan targeting the specific drivers present in your skin — from collagen support and barrier restoration to pigmentation correction and inflammation management.
Natural decline in collagen production from the mid-20s onwards — leading to lines, laxity and loss of firmness.
UV damage accelerates ageing, degrades collagen, and is the primary cause of most pigmentation concerns.
Chronic low-grade inflammation — from lifestyle, products or environment — accelerates visible skin ageing over time.
A weakening skin barrier leads to dehydration, increased sensitivity and reduced resilience — worsening all other ageing factors.
Sun spots, uneven tone and post-inflammatory marks compound the appearance of aged skin — often requiring targeted correction.
Sleep, diet, stress and smoking all influence the rate and pattern of skin ageing — and must be factored into an effective treatment plan.
"We build a structured topical plan around your specific ageing concerns — not a generic protocol. Proper assessment comes before any recommendation."
Esther Emenike-Okorie · Independent Nurse Prescriber & Founder, Shujo Aesthetics
Our online anti-ageing service provides structured topical skincare plans only. Injectable anti-wrinkle treatments are not available through the online clinic — these require an in-person consultation and assessment at our Milton Keynes clinic.
What We May Recommend
Every plan is built around your individual skin assessment. The following options may be recommended — alone or in combination — depending on your specific concerns, skin type and medical history.
Prescription-strength retinoids (tretinoin or adapalene) are the gold standard for topical anti-ageing — stimulating collagen, accelerating cell turnover and improving pigmentation. May be considered after assessment and suitability screening.
Medical-grade vitamin C, niacinamide and antioxidant serums to neutralise free radical damage, brighten skin tone and support collagen preservation — particularly important for patients with significant sun exposure history.
Targeted barrier repair and hydration support — including prescription-grade moisturisers, ceramide complexes and hyaluronic acid formulations — to restore skin resilience before introducing active ingredients.
Where age spots, sun damage or uneven tone are a primary concern, prescription or compounded depigmenting actives (such as hydroquinone, azelaic acid or tranexamic acid) may be incorporated into your plan.
No anti-ageing plan is complete without daily broad-spectrum SPF. We provide specific SPF guidance as part of every plan — tailored to your skin tone, texture preferences and daily routine requirements.
Where commercially available products cannot deliver the required actives at the right concentrations, bespoke compounded formulations can be coordinated through our regulated dispensing partners — at an additional product cost.
The Process

Common Questions
Everything you need to know before starting your online anti-ageing consultation with Shujo Aesthetics.
Prescription retinoid options — including tretinoin and adapalene — may be considered as part of your treatment plan, subject to assessment and suitability screening. Not all patients are suitable for prescription retinoids; your clinician will advise based on your health questionnaire and photographs.
No. Injectable anti-wrinkle treatments require an in-person consultation and assessment at our Milton Keynes clinic and are not available through the online clinic. Our online anti-ageing service provides structured topical skincare plans only.
Medication, prescription and compounded product costs are charged separately from the consultation fee and coordinated through a regulated pharmacy. Costs vary depending on the product and formulation recommended. These are always communicated clearly and require your agreement before dispatch — you will never be charged without warning.
Your written AM/PM plan is provided within 24–48 business hours of submitting your assessment and photographs. Where prescription or compounded products are required, pharmacy coordination and delivery timelines will be communicated separately.
Follow-up consultations are strongly recommended. Skin treatment — particularly with active ingredients such as retinoids — requires monitoring, adjustment and progression. A 4–6 week follow-up is standard for most patients, with more complex cases reviewed at 8–12 weeks. Follow-ups are charged separately.
You will need to submit front-facing, left profile and right profile photographs as a minimum, taken in natural light without filters, beauty modes or editing of any kind. A close-up of your primary area of concern is also helpful. Clear, unedited photographs are essential — filtered images may prevent our clinicians from making a safe and accurate assessment.
